Watchdog restricts work of law-disobedient VPN services
MOSCOW, Jun 2 (PRIME) -- The Russian communications service restricts work of VPN services that violate the law in the country, an authority representative told PRIME on Thursday.
“According to the law on connection, the means of skirting blockings of illegal content are viewed as a threat. The center of monitoring and management of the public connection network takes measures to limit work on the territory of Russia of VPN services that violate the Russian law,” the representative said.
Media reported earlier that users of large VPN services Proton and NordVPN failed to get connected to applications.
